Mart Med is a privately registered healthcare company working to make quality care easier to reach, and easier to afford, for workers and their families.
Who we are
Mart Med was founded by Dr Martin Rangwato, a medical doctor registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa, and is registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC).
Before starting Mart Med, Dr Rangwato worked in district hospitals, clinics and in administrative roles in the Department of Health. That experience shaped what Mart Med does: primary and occupational healthcare that is accessible, efficient and affordable — delivered close to where people live and work.
Since 2022 we have grown from our clinic at Mohlaba Cross near Tzaneen to six clinics across Limpopo, Gauteng and North West, with a mobile clinic that travels to worksites and rural communities.

Environmental health is closely linked to occupational and public health, so we have built it into our services.

- Diagnosis and treatment of illness caused by environmental exposure, including respiratory, skin and chemical-sensitivity conditions.
- Environmental sustainability
- Energy-efficient facilities, less waste and sustainable sourcing in our own clinics.
- Education and training
- Programmes that help employers and employees understand and reduce environmental risks at work.
Quality of care
We follow the National Standard Treatment Guidelines (NSTG). Our quality programme monitors waiting times, prioritises urgent cases through triage, and keeps assessing what patients need so we can keep improving.
